4^th Congress of the Lay Associates of St. Ann of Latin America

 5^th  – 8^th January 2024, Bragado, Argentina

In the X World Meeting of Families, Pope Francis encouraged all the families of the world, telling them to start from their real situation, “…from there, try to journey together: together as couples, together in your families, together with other families, together with the Church”.

“Walking together” was the experience of the IV Congress of the Lay Family of St. Ann, of Latin America, which took place from 5th to 8th January 2024, in Bragado, Argentina.

A LASA member from each country – Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Argentina – brought the name of their nation to the altar.

Family, a path of happiness and unity!

1^st Day – 5^th January 2024

INAUGURATION OF THE IV CONGRESS, LAY ASSOCIATES OF ST. ANN

During the inauguration, “candles” which recall the Paschal Candle, were lit, imploring the presence and light of the Holy Spirit on the Congress, asking above all for the gifts of wisdom and discernment.

Evaluation of the commitments – Lines of action

Election of the Coordinator at the Latin American level and solemn thanksgiving to God and the Argentine Nation which hosted this international fraternal meeting. 

With great joy, we thank God for the “YES” of José Luis and Andrea who were chosen as LASA Coordinators at the Latin American level. May the Good Father grant them His Spirit to guide the LASA group according to His Will.

Vote of thanks to the Scout Group of the Parish of Santa Rosa da Lima, who so generously prepared food for the participants during the LASA Congress in Bragado: May God reward them for their availability!

4^th Day – 8^th January 2024

Conclusion of the IV Congress, with the visit to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Luján, the Patroness of Argentina, where the Holy Mass was presided over by His Excellency Mons. Ariel Edgardo Torrado Mosconi, Bishop of “Nueve de Julio” Diocese, to which the Community of Bragado belongs.

During his homily, Archbishop Ariel invited the gathering to continue to strengthen bonds within the family and between the families, to bring the Good News to the children and the young people.

After the Holy Mass, the participants visited the tomb of Cardinal Edoardo Francisco Pironio, who did his utmost for the good of young people and of Consecrated Life, and was proclaimed Blessed on 16th December 2023, precisely in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Luján.

During the Holy Rosary before the Virgin Mary, the journey of LASA and of the entire Charismatic Family of St. Ann was entrusted.
