

Today we celebrate with great joy the 180th Anniversary of the Approval of our Institute and of our Constitutions.
Let us remember with gratitude the intense and tireless efforts of our Foundress to obtain this approval, a testimony of her love for the Church and her desire to have us live in its heart, to be an instrument of Providence and Mercy in the world.
Our Foundress, Giulia di Barolo, left for Rome on 7th September 1845, and returned to Turin on 6th May 1846. The memories of this journey are described by Silvio Pellico. We can read some excerpts below.
