WITH THE CELEBRATION IN OUR HEARTS
70th Jubilee of the Religious Profession of Sr. Angelita Milanesio
The title “With the celebration in our hearts” for the Feast of St. Ann, and the 70th Jubilee of Sr. Angelita Milanesio, at Mother House, on July 26, 2026, is fitting, as this reality of Faith and Family for Families, was the driving force behind everything we did. The feast was celebrated in two parts: in the Chapel and in the Hall.
IN THE CHAPEL: The Provincial Superior, her Vicar, and Sr. Franceschina Milanesio, accompanied by the Priests, led Sr. Angelita into the Chapel, awaited eagerly by many Sisters and relatives.
We experienced a special moment at the Renewal of Vows. The Provincial Superior, Sr. Domenica Fichera, thanked the Lord for the faithfulness of the celebrant and called her by name: Sr. Angelita! And here, given her infirmity, there was not only her “Here I am,” but the choral “Here I am” by all the Sisters.
Another significant aspect was the Rite of the Blessing of Hands. Fr. Sergio Giordani, SDB, Chaplain of the Mother House, blessed the hands of Sr. Angelita and prayed: “Lord, turn your gaze upon these hands…which make your Providence visible.
IN THE HALL: We gathered in the hall to exchange greetings and to ask, in the harmony of voices, St. Ann’s blessing for all the families. The event began with the presentation of “SISTERS OF SAINT ANN: FAMILY FOR FAMILIES.”.
On this occasion, attention is directed to the Milanesio Family, for its uniqueness and enriched by the presence of several members of the Family itself. A special note is, the name of the celebrant: Teresa, who, because of the Divine Calling, had her name changed to Angelita, from the Ceremony of Vestition – “Receive, my dear Daughter Sr. Angelita,” the corporal light as a spiritual sign, with which we beg the Lord to enlighten you, so that with the grace of the Holy Spirit you may be, through your virtues, be the light of the souls, whom you will be educating.
The event concluded with a refrain, on the name of Angelita and with a song dedicated to Saints Ann and Joachim.
